摘要
The objective is to improve the efficiency of a new ozone contactor which is composed of a U-tube and in which air and water flow co-currently. The optimization of the contactor lies in a maximum mass transfer between the gas (air+ozone) and the liquid (to be treated), and a minimum of the energy cost. This optimum corresponds to the bubble flow regime. We focus of the hydrodynamic behaviour in the downward flow. We analyze the transition between bubble and slug flow regimes; we present experimental. results on the void fraction and the pressure gradient, carried out in a U-tube, and discuss the two-phase flow modeling aspects of this downward flow, both in bubble and slug flow regimes.
