While much of the software industry has recently focused on quality improvement, many organ have yet to establish the foundations of quality assurance. In this essay, Stan Siegel describes some of the human issues surrounding formal product assurance Siegel has more than 28 years of experience in product assurance and systems analysis. An author of textbooks on configuration management and product assurance, he received a PhD from Rutgers.
