摘要
This article is an essay resulting from the author's reading and study of this early, encyclopaedic work by Ramon Llull in the 13th century. The author's aim is an attempt to bring some questions or issues in Llullian thought up to understand that a great portion of the Book content goes beyond his time and resounds at present. The author shows its validity in many aspects, and thinks that Llull's thought should continue to be considered valid and useful as it can help, even partially, to tackle or solve difficulties in the current philosophizing, as well as in the evangelizing mission in the 21st century. Indeed, right at the beginning of the Book, Llull resorts to the experience of living, where we see a classical and also modern man. Modern because he starts building his thought from the subject, and classical because he observes everything from the perspective of the act of being. Then, he presents his own world-view with an integral vision of man. He appears as the philosopher of action, the way he understands and observes One in Three People God, the ethical dimension of the human being, the originality of his proof of reason, finally the relationship between faith and reason. Llull's Book, then, is at the forefront of religious and ecumenical dialogue in his time, with the result of being a pioneering work in the sense of raising the unique and universal character of Christian salvation.
