摘要：

Skulls of 53 Icelandic horses, which were collected in the middle of the 19th century (Krabbe Collection), were investigated osteometrically and odontologically. With the help of various statistical techniques the influence of age and sex on size and shape of the horse skull, and the influence of age on metrical and non-metrical traits of the enamel fold pattern in the cheek teeth were studied. These studies are of great methodological value for further archaeozoological work on subfossil horse remains. © 1990.
