摘要
A non-metric theory of gravitation is used to describe the evolution of the early Universe. It is shown that the effective macroscopic contribution of the non-metricity to the field equations has the form of the energy-momentum tensor of some 'exotic fluid'. The negative pressure of this fluid and its thermal coupling to the relativistic matter drive inflation just after the Planck time. The possible decay of the fluid after the inflationary phase is briefly discussed.
