摘要
This is the second in a two-part series focusing on the major purposes and concerns related to diagnostic practices. Part 1 discussed the importance and necessity of diagnostic procedures and the difficulties of arriving at a valid diagnosis. In the second article, the author (a) highlights research relevant to LD diagnostic practices, (b) offers a case study of current diagnostic practices related to learning-problem referrals, and (c) contrasts three ethical perspectives used in judging the appropriateness of such activity. © 1979, Council for Learning Disabilities.
