摘要
Despite the high incidence of people with disabilities (PWD) in Brazilian society, it becomes clear an academic silence on the part of researchers the Administration abaut the issues involving such peoples. This research led to the need to characterize this silence from the gaps and trends in publications about PWD over the last decade. The aim of research was established to propose guidelines for the Brazilian academic research in business administration from an overview of the scientific literature on people with disabilities conducted through a bibliometric analysis based on publications in the events promoted by ANPAD between the years 2000 and 2010. The bibliometric approach provided methodological support so that they could describe the characteristics of publications focusing on PWD on the events of ANPAD. Found 41 studies with a focus on PWD among the 10,983 articles published in the annals of events sponsored by ANPAD between 2000 and 2010, an amount which corresponded to 0.37% of the publications in the period, a number that seems insufficient to address the peculiarities of the world of organizations for more than 24 million Brazilians with disabilities. Despite having shown significant growth over the decade, with a peak of productivity in 2008, publications on PWD suffered a significant reduction in 2009 and 2010. Wiling to invigorate the academic interest in discussing problems facing disabled people who play roles as employees in companies, as customers in a productive system that seems to ignore this market and as citizens with rights of inclusion and accessibility, the authors propose 20 guidelines for scholars dissatisfied with the imbalance arising from the neglect of this important topic. Taken as the main product of this work, these guidelines deal with general issues and specific to each academic division of ANPAD.
