Protection, equality, dignity, freedom and non-discrimination. Protection, equality, dignity, liberty, non-discrimination and human rights in labor law

This paper place the non-discrimination in employment within the larger framework of equality, worker protection and dignity of the human person. Is it the same equality as non-discrimination? Both are principles of employment law or just one of them is?. As the protective nature of labor law is not being discussed, we should ask why the labor law aims to protect the worker. Could it be that, deep in the end, the true principle is equality? Or that, putting it in another way, is the protective principle grounded on the meta-principle or value of equality? If so, it would still have to explore the relationship between equality and dignity of the person who works. In fact, "equal dignity" or "equal dignity for all" seems to be inside the human rights system. So, labor law, that protects the equal dignity of all the workers, is inserted into the universal law of human rights. It is also distinguished, on one hand, the equality at work, which is equalization or compensatory or protective inequality, from, on the other hand, the general equality among citizens with the same rights. Finally, the different forms of discrimination in the worplace, its effects and measures to prevent and repare them, are analized too.
