ACTIVATED HYDROGEN ADSORPTION ON THE PT(100) 1 X-1 SURFACE

摘要
Hydrogen adsorption on Pt(100)1 x 1 was studied in the low temperature range using LEED, TDS and work function measurements. Two adsorption states can be distinguished exhibiting different properties. The state populated first shows nonactivated uptake and desorbs at 225 K whereas adsorption into the second state, which desorbs at 195 K, is found to be activated.
