Diamagnetization M of high-T(c) oxide superconductor Pb-doped Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O powder in the vortex state has been studied by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) of the surface material coated on the sample. It was found that there is no apparent anomaly in the temperature dependence of M extracted from NMR in field cooling below 1.1 T, in contrast with the result obtained by superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer which shows an unusually steep increase in M(T) at low temperatures. An origin of the different results produced by the two methods is discussed.
