摘要
The article analyzes the electoral performance of Brazilian political parties, identifying them as right, center and left ideological blocs, in the elections for the Chamber of Deputies for the period 1982-2002. The results proved that the left grows in all Brazilian regions and there is no evidence of reduction of its support for the next elections. It is confirmed also that the disproportional party system affected party representation in the Chamber of Deputies, over-representing conservative parties and under-representing the left.
