INTERACTION BETWEEN 2 INTERFACIAL CIRCULAR RING DISLOCATIONS

摘要
The interaction energy and force expressions for a Somigliana ring dislocation in a homogeneous material, i.e. a circular loop with the Burgers vector in the radial direction, have been derived. The analysis has been extended to the interface Somigliana ring dislocation and the interface circular prismatic loop for a bimaterial fiber-matrix case. The results for the homogeneous case are given in closed forms. For the interface dislocation, the behavior of the interaction energy and force is examined by considering different combinations of material elastic constants. The results presented here are applicable to models for the modes of failure in composites with partially debonded fibers.
