CALIBRATION OF CONTACT STYLUS INSTRUMENTS FOR MEASURING ROUGHNESS

The specialists committee length of the Deutscher Kalibrierdienst (DKD) has finished the guidelines for calibration of contact stylus instruments which is published in this issue. This calibration procedure is based on measurements on a glass flat, six grooves of a calibration standard and three or four roughness standards. The guidelines are written very short so here are given some necessary supplements. This guidelines are also of importance for standardization of roughness measurement out of the DKD.
