The curriculum guidelines and African history teaching: are we talking about that?

摘要
The text aims to show how African history teaching is designed by the Curriculum Guidelines for the Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations and the Teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African Culture and History. Therefore, the text covers the following steps: first, it demonstrates how the Brazilian racism discussing the role of education to prevent its reproduction; second, it presents as memory, identity articulated through the teaching of history looking to problematize as Brazilian historiography addressed the Afro-Brazilian history and African and finally shows which political and pedagogical meanings of African history teaching under Curriculum Guidelines.
