The evaluation of the useful heat supplied by a solar collector requires to take into account both the meteorological data and the constructive parameters of the device. This paper deals with the analysis of the energy balance in a solar collector. Non-dimensional factors were introduced for each of the energy fluxes. They allow to discuss the main parameters which have to be taken into account when studying the absorption of solar energy and the thermal energy delivery. The useful operation time of a solar collector is analysed.
