摘要
Gender is constituted iteratively under the effect of conformative or disruptive performances in relation to heteronormativity, since the same chain of repetition that naturalizes it can operate inversely, revealing its contingent, imitative character. One way of questioning heterosexuality as a performative effect in which the imitative structure and genre contingent also reveals itself is to investigate the process of identity (con) formation and demonstrate how heterosexuality also results of an identification ever procedural, unfinished and susceptible to contradictions constitutive of gendering processes. Thus, through the analysis of autobiographical texts, memoirs and literary works by Anglo-Irish writer W. B. Yeats, we investigated the impact of the end of century homoculture in his formation, observing how the writer's dilemmatic tension between the imperative to fit the dictates of heteronormativity and the sympathy with the fin de siecle homoculture influenced his literary creation.
