摘要:
The tectono-sedimentary study of the Palaeozoic half-graben shaped Kandi basin shows that the N 20-degrees-E Kandi fault precisely controls the sedimentary facies and the geometry of the Early Palaeozoic deposits bent in synsedimentary synclines. From West to East, the lowermost detrital sedimentation consists of proximal alluvial fan deposits and fluviatile sandstones which evolve vertically into hummocky to sigmoid cross-bedded siltstones and sandstones interpreted as storm to tidal deposits. According to the microtectonic data, the Kandi fault was successively affected by reverse dip-slip and sinistral to reserve displacements during a Late Pan-African, Early Palaeozoic and Cretaceous times.
