摘要：
Waste office paper was treated with steam in a pressure vessel at 170-220-degrees-C and then enzymatically saccharified and fermented to ethanol. Steam alone was not effective in raising yields, but acid catalysed steam treatment resulted in yields of 460 litres per ton, an increase of 29% over controls, and 91% of theory.
