摘要
The propagation properties of cylindrical dielectric waveguides having a double step permittivity profile is investigated with an arbitrary eccentricity. A full wave solution is presented and non weakly guidance equation is employed to formulate the problem and then semi-analytic solution is derived. Numerical results are computed and presented. Discrimination of the two orthogonal HE11 modes due to the eccentricity of the refractive index profile is investigated.
