CROSS-SECTION MEASUREMENTS FOR THE O-16+C-13 REACTION AT SUBBARRIER ENERGIES

摘要
The cross sections for the different exit channels of the O-16+C13 reaction have been determined for incident energies in the range 4.8 less-than-or-equal-to E(c.m.) less-than-or-equal-to 9.8 MeV by measurement of the characteristic gamma-rays emitted by the residual nuclei. The total fusion cross section, obtained as a sum of partial cross sections, agrees with that measured by the total gamma-ray yield method and is well described by the global proximity model calculation. The cross section for the O-16(C-13, C-12) O-17* (0.871 MeV) neutron transfer channel remains small over the whole energy interval investigated.
