FRACTAL ANALYSIS OF FIELD EVAPORATION MICROGRAPHS OF FE-CR ALLOYS

摘要
Fractal analysis has been performed on the interphase interface between the chromium-enriched alpha' phase and the iron-rich alpha phase from digitized two-dimensional sections of the microstructure obtained by field evaporation microscopy. The field evaporation micrographs revealed that the interphase interface was rough on the atomic scale. The fractal dimension of the interface was found to be between 1.1 and 1.5 indicating that the interface is fractal in nature.
