Pacific Gas Transmission's 844-mile looping of its system to move more gas to California markets kicks off this year's Oil & Gas Journal Pipeline Report. The project is the largest on the books for U.S. construction and will get under way before yearend. In addition, Nova Corp. of Alberta's recent work with Grade 550 line pipe may change construction practices for high pressure gas-transmission lines. Finally, a Northwest Pipeline Co. monitoring program is closely tracking actual vs. predicted fuel use.
