FLUX GROWTH OF SINGLE-CRYSTAL LEAD TITANATE

摘要
A method is described for the flux growth of single crystal PbTiO3. The crystals were nearly equidimensional in form (4x3x2 mm3). The majority of the crystals grew below a disruptive phase transformation temperature (500°C), and were relatively free of cracks and inclusions. Details are reported for the flux growth conditions and crystal characteristics. Highly polar PbTiO3 is of interest for applications in pyroelectric and piezoelectric devices. © 1990.
