摘要
Along this paper I tried to report an analysis about the debates occurred around the feminine rights in Argentina at the beginnings of 20th century. With this purpose, I study the work of a Spanish socialist -became naturalized Argentine- Enrique del Valle Ibarlucea, along the debates about the inclusion of divorce to the Civil Code. Del Valle presented this project in 1918 at the Senate of the Nation, when he was the first socialist senator in America. Starting from this fact, I am interested in showing some problems typical of this time -the production of modern citizenship, the modernization and secularitation of institutions- and also some voices -up to now unknown- that could question the power relations between sexes.
