Determination of La-138 activity in La2O3 from the known activity of K-40 in KCl has been described. Activity of La-138 was determined by the least square fit of the efficiency curve epsilon = a . E(b) through the three points: (788 keV, epsilon(A)), (1436 keV, epsilon(A)) and (1461 keV, epsilon(K-40)), taking the activity A of La-138 as a free parameter. The activity of the best fit has been taken as the La-138 activity.
