摘要
With the aim to go more deeply into the "immigration-language-school" debate, our paper presents some data derived from studies on this topic carried out by our research group in the Catalan context. We start by highlighting some issues related with the demographic incidence of the migratory phenomenon. We then show the results of a number of investigations dealing with cognitive-linguistic and on attitude-motivation aspects. Finally, possible actions pursuing to optimize and to reconsider the educational practice in multilingual classrooms are discussed.
