摘要
Water-soluble polyhydroxylated fullerene derivatives (fullerenols) show excellent efficiency in eliminating superoxide radicals (O-2(-.)), generated by xanthine-and xanthine oxidase, thus revealing the potential use of these compounds as novel potent free radical scavengers in biological systems.
