摘要
Complete descriptions of the topology of chemical molecules can be stored and manipulated by computer, and the availability of searchable computer files of chemical structures can be of very great value for furthering chemical research. Various representations have been suggested for this purpose; this review compares their characteristics and assesses their suitability for the functions required of them. It considers also the more intractable problem of indexing reactions. © 1968.
