摘要
Hot-Mix Asphalt (HMA) is highly flexible material. At low temperatures it behaves as flexible rigid body and at high temperatures as viscous liquid. These temperature variations show how important it is to consider HMA characteristics and predict temperature of the pavement surface on site-in situ. Pavement surface temperature depends on many different factors, but one of the most significant factors is ambient temperature. This paper examines existing models for predicting temperatures of pavement. The paper presents Superpave model and a new one-Serbian model for predicting surface pavement temperatures. Furthermore, correlation between measured temperatures and temperatures according to Superpave model for predicting pavement temperature at a defth of 23.5 cm was done.
