Treatment of narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia. Constant sleepiness, failing to keep up with the pace of others, having dreamlike experiences, feeling over emotional and, the ultimate paradox, sleeping badly at night, this is the daily struggle of patients with narcolepsy. The treatment of hypersomnia has evolved over time. Advances have been made in developing and improving symptomatic treatments which increase monoaminergic signalling. (C) 2016 Elsevier Masson SAS.
