摘要
Slow cooling from 1323 K promotes intergranular segregation of boron in Ni//3Al while rapid quenching retains the low level attained at 1323 K. Variations in boron segregation due to variations in thermal history are reversible. Such variations manifest themselves in the fracture morphology and probably in the mechanical properties. Hydrogen charging can be used in enhancing the degree of intergranular fracture, thereby facilitating analysis of segregation using Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES).
