The purpose of this examination was to determine the influence of heat treatment on ZnAl22Cu3 alloy corrosion resistance in the 3% NaCl solution. The subject of examination was unmodified ZnAl33Cu3 alloy. The tested alloy was: heated at the temperature of 185 degrees C during 10 hours with cooling in water, heated at the temperature of 380 degrees C during 10 hours with cooling in water and heated at the temperature of 385 degrees C for 10 hours followed by heating at the temperature of 175 degrees C with cooling in the water. Potentiodynamic and potentiostatic tests were carried out in the 3% NaCl solution. After corrosion tests examination of the surface of the samples were conducted. Examinations have shown that the highest corrosion resistance is characterized by an alloy after heating at the temperature of 385 degrees C/10h and the lowest after heating at 185 degrees C/10 h.
