摘要:
The magnetization of parabolic quantum wells and wires in strong tilted magnetic fields has been calculated analytically within the single-particle picture. The results deviate considerably from the usual dHvA oscillations and exhibit the superposition of smooth large-period oscillations and abrupt small-period oscillations as a function of the chemical potential characterized by two hybrid eigenfrequencies. The coupling Hamiltonian approximately B(x)B(z) plays a significant role in determining the magnetization despite its insignificant contribution to the energy spectrum.
