VIBRATIONAL ANALYSIS OF THE X2A2 STATE OF THE ALLYL RADICAL

摘要
Selective resonance enhancement of particular overtones and combination tones in the Raman spectra of the allyl radical is demonstrated. The selective enhancement simplifies the assignment of the spectra and significantly increases the number of over-tones and combination tones that can be identified. Observations of the ground state fundamental, overtones, and combinations are used to calculate anharmonic constants. The ground state anharmonic constants provide an improved description of the coupling of vibrational modes and yield a more accurate prediction of the allyl radical higher vibrational levels.
