摘要：

Radiation therapy (RT) is commonly used for the treatment of head and neck cancer (HNC).Osteosarcoma occurring in the post-irradiated area is uncommon. We report a rare case of osteosarcoma of the tongue in a 61 year old male occurring after 5 years of chemo-radiation for carcinoma of pyriform fossa. Now, he presented with large growth arising from the dorsum of tongue. Contrast-enhanced computerised tomography (CECT) was done to know the extent of disease. Biopsy from the lesion was suggestive of osteosarcoma. Lesion was treated by wide local excision taking 2 cm margin and closure using radial forearm free flap.
