摘要
In this paper, a simple programmable digital frequency meter for the measurement of low frequencies with known nominal values is proposed. The meter can be used to measure instantaneously the frequencies of various signals such as power line frequencies, heart rates, and motor speeds by only choosing the proper clock and nominal frequencies. Moreover, the proposed meter requires less hardware complexity than other meters reported in the literature, and it could be completely integrated on a single chip.
