摘要
An effect of crystalline size on the orthorhombic to monoclinic phase transformation of ZrO2 has been elucidated. An in situ observation of the transformation of ZrO2 samples having several crystallite sizes was undertaken under high pressure by using a diamond anvil pressure cell with the X-ray energy dispersive diffraction technique. The proportion of the transformed phase to the original phase was evaluated for each sample in the pressure range up to 10 GPa. The threshold pressure of the phase transformation was shifted toward the higher pressure side as the crystallite size decreased. © 1990.
