摘要
The results of low temperature specific heats measurements on the trihydrides of La, Ce, Pr, Nd, and Sm are presented and analysed. In the temperature range 235-253 these phases exhibit λ-type specific heat anomalies most probably associated with temperature-dependent metal-to-semiconductor transitions. Additional, λ-type specific heat anomalies were found for Ce and Nd trihydrides in the range 2.7 – 4.6 and for Sm-trihydrides at 25.8 due to magnetic transitions. The various terms contributing to the total specific heat were separated and discussed. © by Akademische Verlagsgesellschaft
