The new density of states applicable to high T(c) (HTS) and low T(c) (LTS) superconductors is found to have two parts: a BCS (Bardeen Cooper Schrieffer) like form via a finite order parameter within the pairing interaction range, T(d) (Debye) and a new result q(w/T(d)=(2/pi) tan-1 (w/T(d)) via a zero order parameter outside T(d). For large y=T(d)/piT(c) (LTS), the q(w/T(d)) is small, and the BCS result is recovered. The q(w/T(d)) accounts for the low energy states observed in HTS and yields the T(2) term in the quasiparticle density as well as the term T2 in the specific heat at low T.
