摘要
We report two cases of pyroglobulinemia detected in the course of routine determination of fibrinogen levels measured by the heat-precipitation method and that led to the diagnosis of Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia. The incidence of pyroglobulinemia is briefly discussed, and the potential significance of this laboratory artifact is emphasized. (C) 1995 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
