Botocudorol, a New Bisabolene Type nor-Sesquiterpenoid from Sparattanthelium botocudorum

From the 95% ethanolic extract of the leaves of Sparattanthelium botocudorum were isolated and identified 5-hidroxy-3,4',7-trimethoxyflavone(1), 4 alpha,10 alpha-dihydroxyguaja-6-ene (2) and a new nor-sesquiterpene, botocudorol (3). Spectral data were used in the structure determination. The H-1 and C-13 NMR chemical shifts have been assigned on the basis of APT, DEPT, H-1 x H-1-HOMOCOSY and H-1 x C-13-HETECOSY experiments.
