SYNTHESIS OF HIGH-TC SUPERCONDUCTING MATERIALS BY OXIDATION AND PRESS COATING OF METALLIC PRECURSOR ALLOYS

摘要
A new method of pressing and oxidation of precursor alloys on metallic substrates is described. BSSCO high-T(c) superconducting coatings with T(R = 0) = 100-107 K and J(c(77)) as high as 2000 A/cm2 have been produced on Ag, Au and other metallic substrates with this method. The adhesion of the coated layer is mainly determined by the substrate nature and applied pressure. The thickness and width can be accurately controlled by proper adjustment of the processing parameters. The combination of deformation and annealing produced textured microstructures with improved J(c). This method can also produce sandwiched high-T(c) superconducting thin layers between metallic sheets with various shapes and substantially improved mechanical properties.
