摘要
Brucella melnensis infection is endemic in the eastern and south-eastern Anatolia regions of Turkey. Around 18,000 ru-4, cases are reported annually in Turkey. Neurological complications of brucellosis are rare, with an incidence cif 1.7-10%. It has varying, clinical pictures: subacute or chronic meningo-encephathis, cranial nerve involvement (acoustic nerve paralysis being commonest), hemiparkinsonism, chorea, intracranial hypertension syndrome, inyositis, cerebral abcess, mycotic aneurism and compression ofthe spinal cord. We present a case with bilateral papilledema caused hytteurohrucellosis. The aim Phis case presentation is to draw attention to the importance of neurobrucellosis in the differential diagnosis ofpapilledema, especially in endemic regions such as in our country.
