摘要
In this study, the mechanical properties in torsion of AA6061 aluminum alloy with different heat treatments were evaluated. Annealing (O), natural aging (T4), and artificial aging (T6) heat treatments were made, of which tension, torsion and hardness tests were made. The mechanical properties in tension were obtained, and massive samples were tried to torsion, from these tests, the shear strength versus angular deformation curves in torsion were obtained. The properties obtained of the torsion behavior curves were influenced of significant way by the application of the heat treatments, producing an increase of the yield shear strength and maximum shear strength, in addition, a decrease of the ductility in the material. The macrostructural characterization of the samples was made, showing that the major strains are in the specimen surface. The relations between the obtained tension properties and the torsion properties were determined, these relations were compared with the yield criterions of Von Mises and Tresca.
