摘要
This paper was prepared with the main objective to reflect on: how the teacher's identity reframes in the practice and development of daily classroom? About the new knowledge construction's as elements the university social representation area's afirmation. Prospects for the development and performance of university teachers face the new demands of sec. XXI. As conclusion we verified the three points discussed are closely related, the university needs a change towards the new scenario in which information is available in several places Internet media. So that she does not get obsolete need to rethink their role and find new ways to remain a place of new knowledge generation's, new knowledge. One tool it can use is the tripod research - extension - education. This triad is a way of reaffirming the social representation of space as a university open space for research, production of new knowledge and also a place of socialization of knowledge. But for all this to happen it is necessary that teacher need to reflect on their world view on the way he sees and understands science, must be willing to critically examine their methods, their values and be aware what he wants to teach and who want to teach, always remembering that education, in a sense, it is also a means of social exclusion and therefore the teacher must be aware and know that their role is not only empower manpower but make citizens aware of their rights and duties.
