摘要
In the oil and gas industry in Colombia and in the world, many corrosion problems can be raised which degraded materials and cause unexpected failures, oil spells, environmental damage and economical losses. Corrosion due to acid gases (CO2/H2S) is one of the most aggressive phenomena which can appear in transport oil lines, when this acid are in contact with the water and produce substances which attack the materials. This research studied the effect of small concentrations of H2S on corrosion steel with CO2, and brine under stagnant conditions. Results showed an increase in corrosion rate when the smallest concentrations of H2S Were used in the electrolyte and an increase of the corrosion rate when the temperature was higher.
