摘要
A framework for identifying and evaluating the existence and cause of property tax inequities that result from incorrect assessments is outlined. Empirical material for the city of Hamilton, Ontario is used to illustrate the problem. It is demonstrated that the proportion of true market value that a household may pay in property taxes varies with respect to neighborhood and price of dwelling. -Author
