KINETICS OF THE HIGH-TEMPERATURE OXIDATION OF HYDROCARBONS INHIBITED BY METAL DIALKYLDITHIOCARBAMATES

摘要
The kinetics of the high-temperature oxidation of a model mixture of hydrogencarbons in the presence of metal dialkyldithiocarbamates as inhibitors at 170-degrees-C were studied. Metal dithiocarbamates substantially increase the induction period by deactivating the peroxide radicals and affect the formation and decomposition of the hydroperoxides. The formation and decomposition of the hydroperoxides proceed under the influence of the products of transformation of the starting complexes. It is shown that antimony and zinc dithiocarbamates are the most effective antioxidants.
