摘要
Recent work using high resolution angle-resolved photoemission to determine the Fermi surfaces for surface-localized electronic levels on several metal surfaces is reviewed. We examine our fundamental motivation for these studies and their relation to phenomena observed in other branches of chemistry and physics. © 1990 IOP Publishing Ltd.
