This reflection document outlines the challenges faced in health education and reflects on the educational developments for healthcare professionals at El Bosque. The necessity for developing skills to confront contemporary socio-economic contexts is explained; in a second part, the contributions of a human-development-focused education are highlighted, and finally discussed is the urgent need for new approaches and interdisciplinary pedagogical practices.
